Ace Hotel

Check this out! Last week, the hip US hotel group Ace Hotels, a chain co-founded by Alex Calderwood, opened a new hotel in England’s capital thereby expanding from their US sites to add a London outpost. Ace Hotels exist in Seattle, Portland, Palm Springs and Manhattan, New York all with a mission to a “locally-inspired approach to design and development”, giving “new life to challenged properties in emerging locations”. Design lovers are excited and in London 100 Shoreditch High Street, formerly a 10-year-old Crowne Plaza, now becomes a trendy hotel with facade and interiors updated by Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby of Universal Design Studio.

Ace Hotel London Shoreditch hangs its hat in London’s most creative, engaged district. A hub for galleries, theater and design, Shoreditch is home to the Brick Lane Market, landmark creatives and renegade artists from around the world.
